Old Sheldon Church ruins
Beaufort, SC -- Located on the way to Beaufort, the church was originally funded and constructed in the 1740s-50s. The church was set on fire by the British during the Revolutionary War. It was later rebuilt in 1826, only to be destroyed yet again, during Sherman's march to the sea.
